Chairman Zhang Zhihua was invited to attend the Party Day event themed on “Ten Major Strategies” led by Party building within the Standing Committee of the Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Congress, where he delivered a lecture on site.
Xin Dafang News: On May 30, Zhang Zhihua, Chairman and an outstanding deputy to the Henan Provincial People’s Congress, was invited to attend the Party Day event themed “The ‘Ten Major Strategies’ Driven by Party Building within the Standing Committee of the Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Congress,” where he delivered a lecture on site.
The topic of his lecture is “ Uphold our original aspiration and fulfill our duties to make contributions; “Uphold our mission and responsibilities, achieve remarkable accomplishments, and write a new chapter.” In the classroom He stated that his many years of performing official duties have enabled him to fully appreciate the decisive significance of the “two establishments” and the unique advantages of China’s system of people’s congresses; he has also come to deeply understand that being a deputy to the people’s congress is not a status, an honor, or a privilege, but rather a weighty “responsibility and commitment.” Such a role not only embodies the trust and high expectations of the Party committee and the people’s congress, but also reflects the aspirations and hopes of the people, making it a responsibility of great magnitude and a mission of glorious distinction. Subsequently, Zhang Zhihua delivered a detailed report covering several key areas: strengthening theoretical study and raising political awareness; keeping firmly in mind the original aspiration and mission while performing duties and fulfilling responsibilities in accordance with the law; staying true to one’s post and taking proactive initiative in assuming responsibilities and getting things done; and continuously pursuing innovation and practical action in order to repay society.
Finally, he emphasized that, despite the modest achievements made in fulfilling the duties of the People’s Congress in accordance with the law and in leading enterprise development, there are still numerous shortcomings and deficiencies. At present, the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the National 14th Five-Year Plan, and the 2035 Long-Range Goals have outlined a grand blueprint for China’s future economic and social development and for realizing the Chinese Dream; moreover, the 11th Provincial Party Congress has made well-founded arrangements for Henan’s future economic and social development. Standing at this new historical starting point, deputies to the People’s Congress must further strengthen their study of political theory, strive to elevate their political awareness and enhance their capacity to perform their duties, and, under the strong leadership of Party committees at all levels and the standing committees of people’s congresses, remain true to our mission, conscientiously fulfill our responsibilities, and work diligently to closely integrate enterprise development with national prosperity, national rejuvenation, and the well-being of employees—so as to greet the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with even more outstanding achievements!
