Guangzhou Metro Line 14 Project

The Phase I section of Guangzhou Metro Line 14, spanning from Jiahe Wanggang to Conghua Shijiekou, has a total length of 54.3 kilometers, with 32.5 kilometers comprising elevated track. The entire line employs the precast segmental assembly construction method and is routed along Guangcong South Road (National Highway G105).

Project characteristics: The bridge structure is a continuous rigid-frame system with single thin-walled piers, featuring standard spans of 40 meters and minimum variable spans of 25 meters. The girder type is segmental box girder, with a maximum single-girder weight of 49.8 metric tons. The line has a maximum longitudinal grade of 3.3% and a minimum curve radius of 600 meters. Construction adopts a segment-by-segment erection method, progressing from simply supported to continuous configuration. The construction involves numerous span changes and crossings over multiple existing railway lines, requiring extensive high-altitude operations and stringent safety assurance measures.
