Chairman Zhang Zhihua Attends and Delivers a Speech at the Provincial Symposium on Studying the Spirit of the 11th Party Congress among the Private Sector
Xin Dafang News: On the afternoon of November 10, a symposium on studying the spirit of the 11th Provincial Party Congress was held in Zhengzhou, bringing together representatives from Henan’s private sector. The meeting conducted an in-depth study of the spirit of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, facilitated exchanges on participants’ insights, and achieved consensus on key ideological understandings. Zeng Chuirui, Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of the Henan Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Henan Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhao Chunwu, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the Henan Federation of Industry and Commerce, chaired the meeting and led the study of the spirit of the 11th Provincial Party Congress. Also in attendance were Xue Jingxia and Wang Jian, Vice Chairmen of the Federation representing the business community; officials from the Non-Public Sector Economic Work Division of the United Front Work Department of the Henan Provincial Party Committee; and representatives from private enterprises and provincial-level chambers of commerce. Zhang Zhihua, Chairman of the Henan Hebei Chamber of Commerce and an outstanding private entrepreneur in Henan Province, was invited to attend and deliver a speech.
In his address, Zhang Zhihua stated that the recently convened 11th Provincial Party Congress was a unifying and rallying gathering held at a historic juncture—the centenary milestone of the Party, the intersection of the “Two Centenary” goals, and the inaugural year of the 14th Five-Year Plan as Henan embarks on a new journey toward modernization. It was also a pragmatic, results-oriented, united, and enterprising event that sounded the strongest call of our times and will serve as a guiding blueprint for the hundreds of millions of sons and daughters of the Central Plains to seize every moment and forge ahead with courage and determination.
Zhang Zhihua pointed out that, as a chamber of commerce leader and business executive, the word that left the deepest impression on him in the report was “innovation.” In particular, he was deeply moved and greatly inspired to see Secretary Lou explicitly state in the report that “innovation must be placed at the logical starting point of development and at the core of modernization,” and that we must “build world-class innovation platforms, cultivate an innovative cadre of entrepreneurs, foster top-tier innovation entities, and accelerate the development of a modern industrial system.” He also noted the goals of “enhancing the quality of traditional industries, nurturing and expanding emerging industries, and proactively planning for future industries,” which he found both thoughtful and motivating. These objectives have strengthened our confidence, resolve, and perseverance in charting our course for the future, meeting challenges, and overcoming difficulties, thereby ensuring sustained development.
Zhang Zhihua stated that, moving forward, we must elevate our political awareness, thoroughly study and deeply comprehend the theme of the conference, and accurately grasp the essential spirit of the Party Congress. We should use learning as a driving force to provide leadership and ensure precise alignment with the spirit of the Party Congress in a targeted manner. Secondly, we must seize development opportunities, promote development through innovation, fully implement the new development philosophy, improve the system for scientific and technological innovation, and strive to build first-class, innovative industrial ecosystems and value chains. In short, we must look to innovation for development and for the future.
Finally, Zhang Zhihua emphasized that the National 14th Five-Year Plan, the 2035 Long-Range Goals, and the 11th Party Congress have outlined a grand blueprint for our province’s future economic and social development and for realizing “Modernized Henan,” inspiring all to forge ahead. He expressed the hope that everyone will closely rally under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with General Secretary Xi Jinping at its core and, with the care and support of the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce and Party committees and governments at all levels, strive to overcome the adverse impacts of multiple challenges such as flooding and the pandemic, thereby becoming a vital force in the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and making new and even greater contributions to bringing glory to the Central Plains.
