Xindafang Conducts 2017 Fire Drill
To implement fire safety responsibilities, enhance employees’ understanding of fire safety knowledge, improve their ability to respond to sudden fires and handle emergency fire situations, and ensure they learn the correct methods for using fire extinguishers and escaping in emergencies, Xindafang conducts a fire drill once a year. For this fire drill, Captain Wang from the Mazhai Fire Station was invited to attend. The exercise focused on safe evacuation in the event of a sudden fire (evacuation drill), instruction on fire safety knowledge, and the proper use of firefighting equipment. Captain Wang addressed three main areas: basic fire knowledge (including fire characteristics and fire classification), types and operating procedures for firefighting equipment, and emergency response measures following a fire. Drawing on recent fire incidents in Zhengzhou and the company’s current fire safety situation, he provided a detailed explanation of common fire-related knowledge, such as analyzing the causes of fires, implementing early fire suppression and rescue efforts, and mastering evacuation and escape techniques at the scene. “ In the event of a fire, aim the extinguishing agent at the base of the flame. ”、 “ When extinguishing a fire, prioritize personal safety: do not stand upwind, remain calm, and avoid panicking. ” The instruction was thorough yet easy to understand, enabling employees to quickly grasp the fundamental principles of fire safety skills within a short training period.
At the drill site, Captain Wang also demonstrated the proper use of fire extinguishers, and through his hands-on demonstration, everyone quickly mastered the basic techniques for using fire extinguishers to put out fires.
