Professor Xu Genning, a leading domestic expert in steel structures, personally visited Xindafang to deliver a special lecture.
Xin Dafang News 9 month 4 Day to 6 On [date], Professor Xu Genning, a renowned domestic expert in steel structures, Executive Director of the Chinese Society of Construction Machinery, Member of the Special Equipment Safety Technical Committee of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Chairman of the National Technical Committee on Lifting Machinery, Vice Chairman of the National Technical Committee on Equipment Structures, former Vice President of Taiyuan University of Science and Technology, and doctoral supervisor, was invited to visit Xindafang and deliver a three-day specialized lecture series. The company’s Bridge Crane Division, Lifting Division, and Transportation Division, SDI Technical personnel from both the joint venture and the bridge company participated in the training.
During the training, Professor Xu, drawing on current trends in the development of domestic and international design standards for lifting machinery, provided a focused explanation of key aspects of structural design, including local stability and weld connections. He also outlined the evolution of the allowable-stress method and the limit-state method. Throughout the session, President Xu offered detailed responses to several specific questions raised by our company’s technical personnel.
After three days of training, the participants gained a deeper understanding of stability and weld connections in structural design, tailored to their respective work contexts, and also acquired a solid grasp of the evolving trends in domestic and international standards for hoisting machinery design. This training will provide clear guidance for our future design work, product development, structural optimization, and the safety of our products.
