The 2014 Annual Work Summary and 2015 New Year Celebration of Xindafang Were Solemnly Held
Xindafang News: On February 6 (the 18th day of the 12th lunar month), at precisely 9:00 a.m., amid the rousing anthem of Xindafang—“Flinging Our Dreams”—the 2014 Work Summary and 2015 New Year Celebration of Xindafang was solemnly inaugurated.
Zhang Zhihua, Chairman of the Board, Chen Hao and Gao Huijie, Vice Chairmen of the Board, Shen Yi, President, and other senior leaders of the group attended the New Year’s Gala, where more than a thousand employees from Zhengzhou New Dafang Heavy Industry Science And Technology Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou New Dafang Equipment Leasing Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou New Dafang Stork Mechanical Equipment Co., Ltd., Henan New Dafang Safel Technology Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou New Dafang Microfinance Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou New Dafang Feather Club, and Jiangsu Nanjing New Dafang Special Testing Equipment Co., Ltd. gathered to celebrate the Spring Festival together.
At the outset of the annual meeting, Chairman Zhang Zhihua delivered an enthusiastic address, summarizing the company’s performance in 2014 and extending New Dafang Group’s New Year greetings to all employees. He noted that 2014 had been a year fraught with hardship and challenges for New Dafang. Like many of its industry peers, the company faced a sluggish global and domestic economy, a severe downturn in its core high-speed-rail business, overcapacity and weak demand in the construction-equipment sector, immense pressure from the lack of new products and new markets, the harsh reality that the company’s transformation had yet to achieve a breakthrough, and persistent bottlenecks in shifting from extensive to refined management—among other major issues that have impeded the company’s development. Nevertheless, in the face of these crises, the Board of Directors rose to the challenge, assessed the situation carefully, seized opportunities, and remained steadfastly committed to the company’s strategic development. To this end, it implemented three key initiatives: first, leveraging leasing to boost marketing; second, tapping overseas markets to drive growth; and third, decisively restructuring the corporate organization and leadership team. These effective measures helped withstand the pressure, stem the decline, and ensure the company’s overall operations remained stable. In closing, Chairman Zhang extended his best wishes for a happy, healthy, and joyous New Year, with good fortune in all endeavors.
In his speech, President Shen Yi stated that every achievement the company has made has been earned through the wisdom and hard work of all employees of Xindafang. On behalf of the company, he expressed gratitude for everyone’s diligent efforts and paid high tribute to colleagues who are still working hard at their respective posts. Shen Yi also outlined preliminary plans for 2015. He said that in 2015, Xindafang will closely follow market trends, actively adapt to the “new normal” of China’s macroeconomy, consolidate existing markets, and expand into new ones. The company will strengthen innovation in technology, management, and mechanisms, and comprehensively shift from market-driven growth to innovation-driven growth.
To promote integrity and recognize outstanding role models, this New Year celebration also included on-site awards for 22 “Outstanding Employees,” 2 “Outstanding Managers,” and 1 “Outstanding Team.” Among them, Lin Xiaochuan from the Overseas Sales Department and Han Lili from the Crane Design Office were honored as Outstanding Managers, while the Crane Equipment Sales Department was named the Outstanding Team. Company leaders presented the awards on the spot, commending the recipients for their dedication and exemplary performance in their respective roles, and urging all employees to take them as role models and strive for even greater achievements in the year ahead.
This year’s annual gala was rich and varied, with each subsidiary, center, and department meticulously preparing performances in advance. The company also invited the Erqi District Cultural Center to lend a helping hand with their own acts. The program featured a wide array of cultural and artistic forms, including dance, kuaiban (a rhythmic spoken-word performance), skits, clown acts, humorous voice-overs, and classic songs—offering everyone a truly lavish cultural feast and fully showcasing the versatile and energetic spirit of the Xin Dafang team.
To liven up the atmosphere, the annual gala also featured a raffle. A total of 36 prizes were awarded: one Grand Prize (an iPad), five First Prizes (microwave ovens), ten Second Prizes (bedding sets), and twenty Third Prizes (electric irons), ensuring that the event was filled with one exciting highlight after another and continuous rounds of applause.
The 2015 New Year’s Gala concluded in an atmosphere of joy, harmony, and enthusiasm. The company also prepared a sumptuous reunion dinner for everyone. Company leaders Zhang Zhihua, Chen Hao, Gao Huijie, Shen Yi, Li Gang, Zhang Qinghe, Li Junling, Ma Yueyong, along with the heads of all affiliated and controlling companies, raised their glasses together with all employees of Xinfada to celebrate the bountiful year of 2014 and look forward to a prosperous 2015 under the auspices of the “sheep”!
