The Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League Holds a Symposium to Advance the “Pooling Strength in the Economic Development Zone—Working Together to Make Contributions” Campaign
To further implement the Municipal United Front Work Department’s work requirement of “Pooling Strength in the Economic Development Zone and Contributing Together with One Heart,” the Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League held a symposium on advancing the “Pooling Strength in the Economic Development Zone and Contributing Together with One Heart” campaign on May 28. Zhang Zhihua, a provincial People’s Congress representative, former vice chairman of the Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League, and chairman of the board, attended the meeting by invitation.
Hao Wei, Chairman of the Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League and Vice Chairman of the Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting was chaired by Zhao Hui, Vice Chairman of the Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League and President of the First Construction Engineering Institute of the Sixth Academy of China Machinery Industry Corporation, with the participation of other Vice Chairmen of the committee—Bian Jianhui, Shi Wenzhong, and Zhao Zhiqi. Also in attendance were Shi Lin, a fourth-level researcher at the United Front Work Department of the CPC Zhengzhou Municipal Committee; Shen Kaiwei, Director of the Party Organizations Division; Liu Chaoyu, Deputy Director of the Working Committee of the People’s Congress of the Zhengzhou Economic Development Zone; Dong Kai, a member of the Party Working Committee of the Logistics Park; and Jing Mingxia, Director of the Bureau of Development and Reform.
During the meeting, participants conducted a focused study of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech at the symposium on advancing the rise of the central region in the new era, conveyed and studied the city-wide United Front document titled “Pooling Strength in the Economic Development Zone: Working Together to Make Contributions” and the spirit of its promotion conference, and read out the “Notice of the Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League on the Establishment of a Special Task Force for Investment Promotion.”
A special task force for investment promotion has been established, comprising a director, two deputy directors, and a secretary-general, for a total of five members. The task force is further divided into five working groups, each led by a group leader, with a total of 41 individuals designated as members of the task force. Zhang Zhihua has been appointed as the director of the special task force for investment promotion.
In response, Zhang Zhihua expressed his profound honor and extended his gratitude for the trust placed in him. He stated that investment promotion is the “living water” that fuels economic development, the “lifeline” of economic work, and, above all, the main battleground for our city’s overall economic growth. Moving forward, under the leadership of the United Front Work Department of the Municipal Party Committee and the Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League, he will work closely with members of the dedicated investment promotion task force, comply with organizational arrangements, proactively coordinate and collaborate, and make active contributions to the cause of investment promotion.
Finally, Chairman Hao Wei delivered a speech, emphasizing the following three points: first, to attach great importance to and fully recognize the profound significance of the “Pooling Strength in the Economic Development Zone—Working Together to Make Contributions” campaign; second, to take swift action and actively participate in the campaign; and third, to strengthen organizational leadership, advance the campaign in a steady and orderly manner, and focus on enhancing its effectiveness.
Approximately 50 people, including members of the special task force for investment promotion and all staff of the municipal committee of the China Democratic League, attended the meeting.
