Characteristics of flatbed trucks

Flatbed truck It is an intra-factory transport vehicle powered by electricity. Also known as an electric flatcar, electric cart, or transfer car, it boasts a simple structure, ease of use, straightforward maintenance, high load-carrying capacity, and low environmental impact.

  Characteristics of flatbed trucks:

  1. Flatbed carts typically use solid pneumatic tires, eliminating the risk of tire blowouts.

  2. The flatbed trailer features a high deck and a large payload capacity.

  3. The flatbed cart is reliable in quality, safe, simple, and durable.

  4. The use of flatbed carts for transfer significantly enhances translation efficiency and substantially reduces labor costs.

  5. Flatbed trucks are environmentally friendly and produce minimal pollution.

New users who are first introduced to flatbed transport vehicles equipped with Fuller transmissions often report difficulty in getting the vehicle moving and trouble engaging a gear. This is frequently due to failure to read the operating manual or to insufficient training and understanding of the operational characteristics of Fuller transmissions. The main gearbox of a Fuller-type flatbed transmission does not have synchronizers, so the starting gear must be engaged using the clutch brake. If only the clutch pedal is depressed without simultaneously actuating the clutch-brake switch valve, the brake will not function, making it very difficult to engage the gear. Some users are aware of the start-up requirements but still experience poor performance when starting. Typically, this is because the driver is too short, with legs that are too short and a seat that is set too high. When starting, the driver’s legs remain straight and cannot reach the proper operating position for the brake pedal. In such cases, the seat height should be adjusted to meet the required specifications.
