How can beam-transport vehicles avoid accidents at highway ramp entrances?

Beam transporter How can you avoid accidents at highway on-ramps? Before setting out with a beam-lifting transporter, be sure to familiarize yourself with the route in advance and follow the designated path. While driving, stay fully focused, pay close attention to road signs, and have a clear idea of which ramp you need to take. Make the necessary preparations before you reach the ramp and change lanes well in advance. Never hesitate or stop illegally on the highway—when driving on the expressway, you must remain extremely vigilant. The slightest carelessness can quickly put you in danger!

Proactive Anticipation: Maintain a safe following distance and prepare in advance. As you approach a highway ramp, remain highly alert and make timely predictions; at the same time, ensure that beam-transporting trucks keep a safe distance from other vehicles. According to road traffic safety regulations, when driving on a highway at speeds exceeding 100 km/h, drivers must maintain a minimum distance of 100 meters from the vehicle ahead in the same lane; when traveling at speeds below 100 km/h, the following distance may be reduced accordingly, but it must never fall below 50 meters.

According to relevant Chinese standards, the length of each lane-dividing white line on highways is 6 meters, with a 9-meter gap between adjacent lines; in other words, one white line plus the intervening gap totals 15 meters. Therefore, to maintain a minimum following distance of 50 meters, the beam-transport vehicle driver must be able to see at least three consecutive white lines—from the position of their own vehicle to that of the vehicle ahead.

Make the best of a bad situation: If the beam-transporting truck misses its exit and continues on to the next one, and while still in motion you realize you’ve already passed the highway exit and no longer have the opportunity to change lanes onto the exit ramp, simply keep driving to the next exit, exit the highway, and then replan and adjust your route. Although this means traveling a bit farther, it’s the safer approach.
