Xindafang’s DFTC130T Modular Platform Cart Supports the Construction of Six Prefabricated Metro Stations on Qingdao’s Metro Line 6

Xindafang News: Following the completion of the main structural assembly of China’s first fully prefabricated and assembled metro station—the Keluoshi Road Station on Qingdao Metro Line 6—another piece of good news has emerged: at the Fuchunjiang Road Station, the second prefabricated metro station, another five ring segments are set to complete their main structural assembly.

Qingdao Metro Line 6 is located in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao. The line has a total length of 30.8 kilometers and comprises 21 underground stations, six of which are prefabricated. Prefabricated metro stations represent the latest evolution of prefabricated construction: reinforcing steel and concrete that would traditionally be cast on-site are now manufactured in a factory using assembly-line processes. The finished components are stored on-site and transported to the construction location as needed for on-site assembly—much like building with LEGO bricks. The precast structural elements are sequentially assembled one by one on the foundation to form the completed structure, thereby achieving factory-based production of building structures.

Notably, all six prefabricated stations were assembled using the DFTC series modular station assembly carts manufactured by Xinfangda.

The DFTC130T subway station assembly trolley is the first domestically developed, independently researched and designed subway station assembly trolley by Xindafang. It is a specialized piece of equipment developed for the prefabricated component assembly construction at subway stations along Phase I of Qingdao Metro Line 6, capable of accommodating both pile-anchor and pile-brace excavation support systems.

The modular launching gantry boasts a mature technology, simple operation, and high safety and reliability. It delivers exceptional assembly accuracy, with full hydraulic system control for the entire machine and multiple sets of hydraulic cylinders that simultaneously perform lifting, lowering, longitudinal fore-and-aft movement, and lateral left–right movement of the segmental units, ensuring precise and efficient installation. The method also features high construction efficiency and significant labor savings, requiring only 8 to 10 personnel—including equipment operators, tensioning crews, and grouting technicians—to complete the assembly of the segmental units. Currently, prefabricated metro stations are being promoted nationwide and gradually standardized; moreover, the equipment has a high degree of post-construction reusability, which helps avoid resource waste and reduce costs.

In addition, compared with the traditional cast-in-place station construction method, the new Dafang DFTC130T metro station prefabrication trolley

This application eliminates the need for reusable formwork, scaffolding, and other temporary construction materials on site, thereby avoiding on-site cutting and welding operations. As a result, subway station construction sites have completely shed their traditional image of dirtiness, disorder, and inefficiency, leading to substantial savings in construction time and resources, reduced carbon emissions, and a concrete demonstration of proactive implementation of the “green development” philosophy and the national “dual carbon” strategy.

As the project progresses, another DFTC130T metro-station assembly trolley will be shipped by the end of this month, further contributing to the development of Qingdao Metro’s “demonstration line” and “innovation line,” promoting the industry’s transformation and upgrading, and supporting the comprehensive, high-quality development of green rail transit projects.
