Yueqing Bay Cross-Sea Bridge Project

The No. 1 bridge of the Yueqing Bay Cross-Sea Bridge on the Yongtaiwen Expressway has a total length of 4.305 kilometers, while the No. 2 bridge is 3.23 kilometers long; both are six-lane双向 highways with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour.

Project characteristics: The construction scope involves non-navigable spans; the bridge structure is a twin-box continuous rigid-frame design, with each span consisting of 4 to 5 continuous girders, each with a standard span of 60 meters. The minimum curve radius is 2,200 meters, the maximum longitudinal grade of the alignment is 1.8%, and the maximum lifting weight per segment is 108.4 metric tons. The construction employs a DP120/60 segmental launching gantry, utilizing a combined construction method that includes symmetrical cantilever erection of T-shaped girders, full-span assembly of the side spans, and transverse shifting of the gantry across the span, with stringent requirements for alignment control. Due to the offshore location, the work is significantly affected by environmental factors such as tidal sand, intertidal mudflats, typhoons, and rainfall.
