Xindafang Successfully Completes Erection of the First Girder on the Mumbai Trans-Harbour Bridge Project

Xin Dafang News: On March 2, the DP150/60 segmental launching gantry crane independently developed by Xin Dafang successfully completed the erection of the first girder for the Mumbai Trans-Harbour Bridge project in India.

DP150/60 The segmental erection bridge erector was developed by Zhengzhou New Dafang Heavy Industry Science And Technology Co., Ltd. for the prefabricated segment erection construction of the Mumbai Sea Link Bridge of India’s L&T Construction Company. The bridge starts in Sewri Town in southern Mumbai and extends west to Chirle Village near Maharashtra, with a total length of about 21.8 kilometers. It consists of twin-box prefabricated segmental girders, with a maximum span of 60 meters and a maximum self-weight girder of 1,860 tons.

DP150/60 The in-situ segmental girder erection launcher has a length of 138 meters, a maximum span capability of 60 meters, and a maximum load capacity of 1,860 metric tons. It can suspend 17 segmental girders, with each segment weighing up to 150 metric tons. This launching gantry features convenient operation, high load-bearing capacity, and a light self-weight.

In addition, all lifting mechanisms are equipped with variable-frequency drive technology, ensuring smooth start-up and braking, as well as a high degree of automation. They can be operated via wireless remote control and feature 360° pan rotation and three-dimensional attitude adjustment, significantly enhancing construction efficiency and operator safety.
