Yang Huchen, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Zhengzhou Municipal Construction Commission, and his delegation visited Xin Dafang for inspection and guidance.

On the morning of April 25, Yang Huchen, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Zhengzhou Municipal Construction Commission, led a delegation from the Commission’s leadership team to visit and provide guidance at the Xindafang Industrial Park. Zhang Zhihua, Chairman of the Company, Chen Hao, Vice Chairman, Shen Yi, General Manager of Xindafang Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd., and Chen Deli, Chief Engineer of the Company, along with other company leaders, warmly welcomed Secretary Yang and his delegation and accompanied them throughout the inspection.

Zhang Zhihua began by briefing Secretary Yang and his delegation on the company’s recent operating performance, financial results, and future development plans. Secretary Yang commended Xindafang for its longstanding achievements in the field of bridge-construction equipment, particularly for having supplied over RMB 7 billion worth of such equipment for more than 500 key and major projects around the world. He noted that Zhengzhou has been designated as a “National Central City” and is currently experiencing rapid development. As the city’s urban footprint continues to expand, existing infrastructure can no longer keep pace with the demands of urban growth, making the construction of rail transit systems and elevated urban expressways an imperative. Moreover, bridge construction in the new era must be driven by innovative bridge design concepts, cutting-edge bridge-building technologies, and state-of-the-art construction equipment—and this can only be realized through robust innovation platforms and highly skilled technical teams.

Subsequently, Secretary Yang led the leadership team of the Construction Commission in an in-depth discussion in the conference room on the “Prefabricated Segmental Assembly Construction Method”—a cutting-edge technology independently developed by Xindafang for urban elevated roadway construction.

This construction method involves disassembling large bridge components into transportable precast modules and employing an innovative bridge design technique that utilizes composite modular precast concrete girders. As a result, most of the bridge construction work is shifted from the construction site to factory-based, industrialized production, achieving a high degree of standardization. This not only significantly enhances construction efficiency and shortens the construction schedule but also substantially improves bridge quality and service life; it reduces the need for extensive manual labor and concurrent operations, thereby enhancing construction safety; it effectively alleviates the impact of road and bridge construction on pedestrian and vehicular traffic, minimizing disruptions to existing traffic; and it aligns with the central government’s call to build a “Beautiful China” by maximizing reductions in environmental pollution and ecological impact. Currently, this construction methodology has been widely adopted in Iran, Singapore, Taiwan, and other regions around the world, receiving unanimous acclaim.

After gaining a comprehensive understanding of the “prefabricated segmental assembly construction” method, Secretary Yang commended it as fully aligning with the requirements for “quality projects” set forth in the State Council’s Outline for Quality Development, and stated that the method would be promoted and applied across the city’s elevated bridge construction projects. Subsequently, Secretary Yang provided an interpretation of the concept of “quality projects,” explaining that it is defined as “high quality and durability, safety and comfort, cost-effectiveness and environmental protection, and broad social recognition”—a framework put forward by the Ministry of Transport to drive the transformation and development of transportation infrastructure construction and to implement the five major development concepts.
