Lieutenant General Wang Jun, Deputy Commander of the Central Theater Command, Visits Xindafang for Inspection and Research
Xindafang News: On September 12, Lieutenant General Wang Jun, Deputy Commander of the Central Theater Command, visited the Xindafang Industrial Park, accompanied by General Lu Changjian, Commander of the Provincial Military District; General Song Cunjie, Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military District; Colonel Wang Changling, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military District; Cheng Zhiming, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zhengzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Zhengzhou; Shang Shoudao, Commander of the Zhengzhou Garrison District; Chen Hongmin, Secretary of the CPC Erqi District Committee, and other leaders at various levels. During the visit, General Wang inspected Xindafang’s progress in the development of specialized construction equipment and in the field of military-civilian integration.
Chairman Zhang Zhihua briefed Lieutenant General Wang Jun and his delegation on Xindafang Company’s two-decade journey of upholding the spirit of craftsmanship and focusing on major national infrastructure projects. Through independent R&D, the company has successfully addressed critical technical and equipment challenges in areas such as water diversion for the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, maglev transportation, wind-power installation, and high-speed rail. Zhang Zhihua stated that, as a leading enterprise in China’s specialized construction-equipment manufacturing sector, Xindafang has consistently sought a path of “military–civilian integration and serving the nation through industry,” aiming to contribute to major initiatives that affect the national economy and people’s livelihoods—such as equipment upgrading, defense modernization, and the enhancement of national emergency-response capabilities. Following the state’s policy of encouraging non-public enterprises to research and develop high-tech dual-use products with strong technological content and promising market prospects, and to participate in the development of military–civilian integrated high-tech industries—including civilian nuclear energy, civil space exploration, civil aircraft, and civil shipping—and in the R&D and industrialization of dual-use high technologies, Xindafang has responded enthusiastically to the call of the Party and the government, taking swift action to establish the “Xindafang Military–Civilian Integration Equipment Development Center.” The center is primarily tasked with closely aligning with national military–civilian integration policies and advancing the company’s own military–civilian integration efforts and development. After two years of dedicated work, these efforts have yielded significant results, and the center has now been recognized as the “Henan Provincial Science and Technology Mobilization Center for Dual-Use Bridge Structures.” Moving forward, the company will focus its next phase of development on the national “Belt and Road” initiative and the “military–civilian integration” strategy, leveraging its cutting-edge technologies to make greater contributions to national defense.
After listening to Zhang Zhihua’s report, Lieutenant General Wang Jun highly commended Xindafang for its technological innovation in specialized construction equipment and its leading role in driving industry development, and expressed high expectations for the company to accelerate the integrated development of military and civilian sectors. He emphasized that, in the new social context, military–civilian integration is both a vital strategy for national rejuvenation and a key approach to strengthening the armed forces—it is an inevitable trend. Every enterprise with a sense of social responsibility should actively participate in national defense construction, effectively integrate military-industrial products with its own operations, translate scientific and technological innovations into practical, safe, and reliable military equipment, and thereby ensure the in-depth development of national defense.
Subsequently, Zhang Zhihua accompanied Lieutenant General Wang Jun and his delegation on a tour of the Xinfada final assembly workshop and observed a live demonstration of specialized flatbed transport vehicles.
