Chairman Zhang Zhihua Once Again Honored as One of Zhengzhou’s Top Ten “Outstanding Private Entrepreneurs”
Xindafang News: On the morning of September 13, the “Zhengzhou City Private Economy Commendation and Mobilization Conference on Financial Support for the Development of Small and Micro Enterprises” was solemnly held at the Municipal Youth Palace. Ma Yi, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, attended the meeting and delivered an important speech. Also in attendance were municipal leaders Sun Jinxian, Liu Quanxin, Ma Jian, Cui Fan, and Wang Chushan, Secretary-General of the Municipal Government.
At the conference, 20 “Outstanding Private Enterprises,” 20 “High-Growth Private Enterprises,” and 10 “Outstanding Private Entrepreneurs” for 2012 were recognized on the spot. Zhang Zhihua, Chairman and President of the company, was once again honored as one of Zhengzhou’s Top Ten “Outstanding Private Entrepreneurs,” marking his second such accolade following his recognition in 2011.
In recent years, the city has thoroughly implemented the state and provincial policies and arrangements for accelerating the development of the private sector, strengthening policy support, improving service systems, and fostering an entrepreneurial environment, thereby maintaining robust growth in the private economy. Currently, the city is home to 83,000 private enterprises; in 2012, the added value of the private sector reached RMB 399.4 billion, accounting for 72% of the city’s GDP, and tax revenues from the private sector totaled RMB 57.6 billion, representing 74% of the city’s total tax revenue. Moreover, 96% of the city’s high-tech enterprises are privately owned, and more than 90% of the city’s “Well-Known Trademarks of China,” “China Famous Brands,” and “Henan Provincial Famous Brands” have been created by private enterprises. In addition, private enterprises have actively assumed social responsibility and pursued initiatives that benefit the people’s livelihoods, playing a vital role in expanding employment, invigorating the market, and meeting the needs of the general public.
Amid the rapid rise of the private sector, Xindafang has emerged as a shining star. As a homegrown private enterprise, Xindafang, under the leadership of Chairman Zhang Zhihua, has seized the golden opportunity presented by China’s robust infrastructure development. Adhering to the development philosophy of “driving innovation through growth and driving growth through innovation,” and fueled by a spirit of relentless self-improvement and close collaboration, the company has grown its annual output value from just over RMB 30 million in 2006 to RMB 1.3 billion today. It has successfully evolved into a large, modern corporate group with multiple equity- and controlling-interest subsidiaries, including Xindafang Heavy Industry Technology Co., Ltd., Xindafang Equipment Leasing Co., Ltd., the Sino-foreign joint venture Xindafang Stork Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd., and Xindafang Safel Technology Co., Ltd., thereby setting an outstanding example for private enterprises. Over the years, Xindafang has been honored with more than a hundred prestigious awards and designations, including “National High-Tech Enterprise,” “Key Enterprise under the National Torch Program,” “High-Growth Private Enterprise of Henan Province,” “Innovative Enterprise of Henan Province,” and “Top 100 High-Growth Enterprises of Henan Province.”
Especially under the challenging conditions of a tough international market, a saturated domestic market, and persistent inflation, Zhang Zhihua has led Xindafang to fully leverage the competitive advantages of private enterprises—namely operational agility—by extending the industrial value chain, undertaking strategic transformation and upgrading, exploring new business areas, and investing in R&D for innovative products. These robust initiatives have enabled the company to effectively respond to market demands, capture market share, and maintain a healthy, stable growth trajectory, thereby continuously leading the domestic specialized construction equipment industry.
While driving the company’s growth, Zhang Zhihua has led the team at Xindafang in giving back to society with a strong sense of responsibility and mission. By stimulating the development of related industries such as the Sixth Metallurgical Construction Company and the Ninth Metallurgical Construction Company, the company has created more than 5,000 jobs; donated buses worth over RMB 3 million to the Zhengzhou Public Transport Corporation; contributed funds and materials to disaster-stricken areas including Wenchuan and Yushu in Qinghai; and repeatedly participated in “Zhengzhou Charity Day” events, demonstrating unwavering compassion. Zhang Zhihua himself has been honored as a member of the National Lifting Technology Safety Committee and an expert receiving a government allowance from the State Council, and has received numerous awards and titles, including “Zhengzhou Model Worker,” the “May Day Labor Medal,” the “Special Contribution Award for Science and Technology,” “Outstanding Expert of Henan Province,” “Advanced Figure in Zhengzhou’s Leapfrog Development,” and “Top Ten Economic Figures of Zhengzhou.”
