Xindafang Grandly Holds Its 2013 New Year Gala
Xindafang News: As we enter the twelfth lunar month, the intermittent bursts of firecrackers echo one after another, heralding the arrival of the New Year. On January 31—the twentieth day of the twelfth lunar month—more than a thousand residents of Xindafang gathered at the Haiyue Grand Hotel to celebrate the Spring Festival together.
The annual meeting kicked off with all employees of Xindafang joining in unison to sing the rousing and uplifting Xindafang Anthem, “Flinging Our Dreams.” Chairman and President Zhang Zhihua then delivered an enthusiastic New Year address, on behalf of the Group, extending the sincerest New Year greetings to all Xindafang employees and their families, and wishing everyone a happy New Year and success in all endeavors!
Zhang Zhihua stated that 2012 was a year of vigorous striving and overcoming formidable challenges for Xindafang. The global economy remained sluggish, domestic infrastructure development stalled, the industry as a whole declined, and market demand was insufficient, presenting a severe situation. Nevertheless, the spirited, united, and highly dedicated people of Xindafang—those who dare to take responsibility, rise to difficulties, and move forward with vigor—still achieved outstanding results. Zhang Zhihua emphasized that these achievements were earned through the wisdom and hard work of the Xindafang team, secured by their diligent efforts and sweat, and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to every Xindafang employee working on the front lines.
In his New Year message, Zhang Zhihua summarized the achievements of all centers, directly affiliated departments, and equity- and controlling-interest companies in 2012 with the following descriptors: “a year of hard work, a year of innovation, a year of high efficiency, a year of pragmatism, a year of fulfillment, and a year of fruitful results,” delivering an inspiring and rousing address that galvanized everyone to strive for even greater success. Subsequently, Executive Vice President Chen Hao delivered a speech entitled “Unite as One to Overcome Difficulties and Ensure Survival; Enhance Efficiency and Practice Scientific Management to Pursue Development,” in which he provided a detailed review of the company’s performance in 2012 and outlined the key priorities for 2013. He noted that, despite the challenging macroeconomic environment, the company did not fully achieve its set targets for the year; nevertheless, significant progress was made in areas such as market expansion, new-product development, product quality, internal coordination and external oversight, as well as cost control and revenue generation—efforts that deserve commendation. In addition, a number of outstanding employees with a strong sense of ownership emerged, including Liu Yiwen, Jia Lifeng, Wang Ruiqing, Zhang Yongqiang, Song Jianhua, and Wang Leiming. These individuals have demonstrated unwavering dedication, humility, and selfless commitment in their respective roles, making them invaluable assets to the company and its true backbone—truly worthy of emulation by each and every one of us!
Chen Hao stated that the new year is brimming with opportunities—and even greater challenges. At present, there is still much room for improvement: we must be more proactive in expanding our market presence, deliver more attentive customer service, ensure timely delivery of high-quality products, further strengthen our cost-conscious mindset, and continue to optimize our management practices while enhancing overall operational efficiency. In addition, he emphasized that we must make concerted efforts to integrate manufacturing and services, transforming our company from a mere equipment supplier into a provider of comprehensive solutions. Only by elevating and advancing all these areas will we possess the robust capabilities needed to seize opportunities and rise to the challenges ahead.
To promote positive energy and set exemplary models, this New Year’s gala also honored 50 outstanding employees, two President’s Special Awards, four Outstanding Project Team Awards, one Outstanding Department Award, two Special Contribution Department Awards, and two Outstanding Team Awards on the spot. Among them, Jia Lifeng, a mechanical design engineer at the Bridge Crane Design Office of the Technology Center, and Li Bin, Director of the Dafeng Base, received the President’s Special Award; the Overseas Sales Department won the Outstanding Department Award; the Special Contribution Award was given to the Fund Management Department and the Finance Department; the Outstanding Project Awards were presented to the 300-ton Brazilian Gantry Crane Project Design Team, the Government Project Application Team, the Philippines Project Production and Manufacturing Team, and the QLY Innovation Team; in addition, the Jitu-Hunchun High-Speed Railway Jilin Longjing Project Department of the Leasing Company and the Hangzhou–Changsha High-Speed Railway Zhejiang Xiaoshan Project Department were recognized as Outstanding Teams.
Senior company leaders presented awards and extended their congratulations to the above-mentioned award recipients and team members, while also calling on all employees to take them as role models, learn from their example, and make contributions worthy of a truly exemplary professional in their respective positions.
In addition, in accordance with the Company’s Measures for the Administration of Internal Professional and Technical Title Evaluation, following a final review by all members of the Title Evaluation Committee, Liu Yanling from the Vehicle Design Office of the Technology Center was appointed as Chief Designer; Zhou Zhiguo from the Bridge Crane Design Office, Suo Jisheng from the Vehicle Design Office, and Sun Yongsheng from the Crane Business Unit were appointed as Deputy Chief Designers; and Liu Minglei, Li Xinyong, Zhao Liujian, Shi Erwei, Shen Jiwei from the Metalworking Workshop of the Production and Manufacturing Center, as well as Liu Xianhui from the Final Assembly Workshop, were appointed as Technicians. Company leaders subsequently presented appointment letters to each of the aforementioned individuals.
To liven up the atmosphere, the New Year’s gala also featured a raffle, with one Grand Prize (an iPad), two First Prizes (two Samsung smartphones), five Second Prizes (five Nikon cameras), and twenty Third Prizes (twenty Fujifilm Instax instant cameras) awarded—totaling 28 winners—and keeping the excitement at a fever pitch throughout the event.
The 2013 New Year’s Gala concluded in an atmosphere of joy and harmony. The company also prepared a sumptuous reunion dinner for everyone. Company leaders Zhang Zhihua, Chen Hao, Gao Huijie, Li Gang, Cai Zhongxian, and Li Junling, along with the heads of all subsidiaries and equity-participated companies, raised their glasses in celebration together with all employees of Xinfada, toasting and applauding 2012 while rallying support and encouragement for 2013!
