Xin Dafang Wins the “China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Award and Innovation Achievement Award”
Xindafang News: On December 23, the “6th China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Conference and the 2012 Annual Meeting of the China Association for Promoting Industry-University-Research Cooperation,” co-hosted by the China Association for Promoting Industry-University-Research Cooperation and the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province, was held in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, attracting more than 600 enterprises and institutions from across the country. Among the attendees was Liu Jian, Deputy Director of the Technical Management Department at the Xindafang Technology Center, who was invited to participate.
With the theme of “Innovation-Driven Economic Transformation and Industrial Upgrading,” the conference adopted and released the “Jiangsu Declaration” on studying, implementing, and carrying out the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the National Conference on Science and Technology Innovation. The Declaration states that we should further highlight the principal role of enterprises in industry-university-research collaboration, strengthen the market orientation of such collaboration, boost the enthusiasm of universities and research institutes to engage in it, create an innovation environment characterized by close integration among industry, academia, and research, and broaden the global perspective of such collaboration; we should also strengthen the implementation of various systems that incentivize enterprises to pursue independent innovation and engage in industry-university-research collaboration, promote the establishment of a benefit-sharing mechanism for such collaboration, improve the distribution and incentive mechanisms for technological innovation, and fully mobilize the enthusiasm of all parties.
At this Innovation Conference, plaques were awarded to the 2012 China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Demonstration Bases and the Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Strategic Alliance was unveiled. The 2012 China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation and Promotion Awards were also announced and presented. The “China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation and Promotion Award” was established with the approval of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Science and Technology Awards Office to recognize outstanding units and individuals that have made remarkable contributions in the integration of government, industry, academia, research, and application. Among them, Xindafang won the 2012 Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Award after fierce competition, and its achievement—the QLY100 tire-mounted luffing-jib wind turbine installation crane—was awarded two major prizes for Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Achievements.
The fact that Xindafang has simultaneously won these two prestigious awards in China’s industry–university–research sector highlights the company’s outstanding achievements in such cooperation, which is both an affirmation of and a source of motivation for its industry–university–research efforts. Moving forward, Xindafang will seize the opportunities presented by national policy guidance and enterprise transformation and upgrading, actively implement the national policy of building an innovation system that is “enterprise-led, market-oriented, and integrates industry, university, and research,” and make even greater contributions to industry–university–research collaboration in Henan Province!
