Xi Jinping’s Speech During His Visit to the “Road to Rejuvenation” Exhibition Inspires the People of Xinfang
Xindafang News: On November 29, while touring the “Road to Rejuvenation” exhibition, General Secretary Xi Jinping quoted three famous lines—“The perilous passes seem as iron; yet we shall surmount them,” “The righteous path through life is fraught with vicissitudes,” and “When the winds are right, we shall ride the waves”—to weave together the Chinese nation’s past, present, and future into a sweeping historical panorama of more than a century of profound change, and to highlight the arduous journey undertaken by generations in their struggle for national rejuvenation. His remarks evoked deep reflection and inspired renewed determination. This important address has sparked a strong response throughout Xindafang, greatly encouraging employees and bolstering their confidence and motivation to work diligently and pragmatically.
At a symposium held on the morning of December 1, Chairman Zhang Zhihua urged all mid- and senior-level managers to thoroughly study, deeply understand, and effectively implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech. He emphasized the need to further pool the wisdom and strength of all employees, view challenges as opportunities, adopt a multi-pronged approach to overcome difficulties and tackle tough problems, forge ahead against headwinds, and make every possible effort to achieve the successful transformation of Xindafang. This, he stated, would be Xindafang’s most meaningful contribution to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Through this study tour, the company’s leadership and employees have come to deeply appreciate that today’s prosperity and stability, rapid economic development, growing national strength, and steadily enhanced international image in China have been hard-won. All participants unanimously stated: “Without the thriving socialist market economy, there would be no remarkable achievements of private enterprises. We must stay committed to our respective roles, continuously elevate our professional standards, conscientiously fulfill our social responsibilities, and more proactively address the challenges of the post-high-speed-rail era, thereby making our due contribution to building the world’s largest manufacturer of specialized vehicles.”
Xindafang has thrived on the momentum of China’s reform and opening-up, seizing the golden opportunity presented by the country’s large-scale infrastructure development. Relying on technological, managerial, and institutional innovation, the company has successively developed more than 80 models across eight major categories of critical construction equipment—covering highways, high-speed railways, urban rail transit, shipbuilding, maglev trains, water-conservation and water-diversion projects, metallurgical and military engineering, and wind-turbine-specific cranes—all with independent intellectual property rights. To date, Xindafang has supplied specialized construction equipment valued at nearly RMB 5 billion for over 500 key and major projects in China, including the Beijing–Shanghai, Beijing–Tianjin, Wuhan–Guangzhou, Shanghai maglev, and South-to-North Water Diversion initiatives.
Subsequently, Chairman Zhang Zhihua stated in an interview with Henan Television that it is precisely under the leadership of the Party—following the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics and pursuing reform and opening-up—that China’s private enterprises have achieved such remarkable success. As a member of society, he emphasized the need to cherish this rare historical opportunity. The State Council-approved Plan for the Development of the Central Plains Economic Zone designates Henan as a key base for advanced equipment manufacturing and modern services, which is highly inspiring and motivating. From a corporate perspective, we must seize this opportunity and, through the growth and development of our enterprise, continue to contribute to the construction of the Central Plains Economic Zone and to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The report was broadcast on the “Henan News Broadcast” at 6:30 p.m. on December 1.
