Leaders of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission Visit Xin Dafang for Research

Xindafang News: On November 1, Xia Yang, Deputy Director of the Zhengzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission, led a delegation to Xindafang for an inspection and guidance visit. Chairman Zhang Zhihua extended a warm welcome and accompanied the delegation on a tour of the company’s production workshops.

As the company’s Chief Service Officer, Xia Yang’s visit has two objectives: first, to help the company resolve land-related issues; and second, to gain an understanding of the implementation and execution of the enterprise technology center’s innovation-capacity-building project.

During the symposium, Xia Yang and his delegation carefully listened to Zhang Zhihua’s briefing on the company’s operations and production, as well as its new-product R&D efforts. Zhang Zhihua stated that in 2009 the company undertook a strategic realignment, shifting its focus from pure manufacturing to extending into the industrial value chain and service provision. In 2010, the president of the American High-Speed Rail Association visited the company, highly commended Xindafang’s R&D capabilities, and subsequently admitted Xindafang as an associate member of the association. At the end of last year, the company established a strategic partnership with the U.S.-based Oldenburg Group. Currently, the company’s independently developed, thousand-ton-class complete sets of construction equipment have been successfully deployed in South Korea’s high-speed rail project, receiving positive feedback from clients and demonstrating that the company’s R&D capabilities in high-speed rail construction equipment are steadily maturing. Following the “July 23” high-speed train accident, the company once again adjusted its business strategy and stepped up its efforts to develop overseas markets. At the same time, the company is committed to new-product R&D; progress has been made in the development of a safety-monitoring system for large cranes, with the first system now fully commissioned and the second currently undergoing commissioning and awaiting on-site acceptance by the State Administration for Market Regulation. The company has also achieved encouraging results in the R&D of high-end ground-support equipment for civil aviation, with the DJZ14 container/pallet loader having entered the commissioning phase. Since the beginning of this year, the company’s export revenue has increased substantially, accounting for 30% of its total sales.

Xia Yang commended the company’s steady development and its achievements, and specifically inquired about the challenges and difficulties it faces in its operations and growth. In response to the company’s concern about the difficulty in obtaining land-use certificates, he pledged on the spot to follow up and resolve the issue.
