The preliminary draft discussion meeting for the industry standard “Self-Propelled Tire-Type Flatbed Transporter” (Revised Edition), spearheaded by Xindafang, was successfully held.
On August 14, the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Industrial Vehicles (hereinafter referred to as the “Industrial Vehicles Standards Committee”) convened a meeting to review the industry standard “Self-Propelled Tire-Type Flatbed Transporter” (revised edition). Industry standard JB/T 12388-2015 “Self-Propelled Tire-Type Flatbed Transporter” was spearheaded by Zhengzhou Xindafang and has been in effect since March 1, 2016, providing a basis for the design, manufacture, and inspection of such equipment. However, with advances in science and technology, certain provisions of this standard no longer meet current technical requirements, making an urgent revision necessary. Accordingly, the Industrial Vehicle Standards Committee convened this meeting to discuss the proposed revision.
This symposium was hosted by Xindafang and chaired by Zhao Chunhui, Secretary-General of the Industrial Vehicle Standards Committee. Attendees included representatives from nine organizations, totaling 16 individuals, comprising members of the Industrial Vehicle Standards Committee and members of the standards drafting working group.
Sun Cunliang, Deputy General Manager of Xindafang, attended the meeting on behalf of the company and delivered a welcoming address. Subsequently, Secretary-General Zhao Chunhui outlined the background and significance of the revision of JB/T 12388-2015 “Self-Propelled Tire-Type Flatbed Transporter,” and emphasized the need to ensure that the draft industry standard is scientifically sound, reasonable, applicable, and compliant with relevant regulations.
During the discussion of the draft, after hearing an overview from the lead drafting organization, Xinfada, on the revision process and key amendments to the industry standard “Self-Propelled Tire-Type Flatbed Transporter,” the participating delegates conducted a thorough and meticulous review of the draft, section by section and article by article. The discussion focused particularly on the basic parameters, essential requirements, operational performance, and safety and environmental protection requirements of self-propelled tire-type flatbed transporters.
The participating delegates, adopting a conscientious and responsible attitude, put forward numerous valuable comments and suggestions on the draft standard, thereby successfully completing the assigned tasks. The revised standard incorporates relevant technical requirements in areas such as basic parameters, lithium-ion batteries, and hydrogen fuel, and further refines and enhances the product’s basic requirements as well as its safety and environmental protection requirements.
Recently, with the rapid development of China’s national economy, self-propelled tire-type flatbed transporters have seen steadily increasing demand thanks to their strong load-carrying capacity and high maneuverability, leading to their increasingly widespread application in intra-facility handling of large components in sectors such as shipbuilding, large-scale steel structure fabrication, metallurgy, and construction. The revision of this standard is of great significance in further enhancing the product quality and technological level of self-propelled tire-type flatbed transporters, ensuring that the standard better meets the needs of technological advancement, boosting the international competitiveness of these products, and promoting the high-quality development of the industrial vehicle industry.
