Grand Prize│Xin Dafang’s research project, “Key Technologies and Industrialization of Green Intelligent Prefabricated Bridge-Erecting Machines for Fully Prefabricated Modular Bridges,” has been awarded the Grand Prize of the Henan Provincial Science and Technology Award in the Machinery Industry.


Recently, the 2024 Henan Provincial Science and Technology Awards for the Machinery Industry were officially announced. As the primary research and development entity, Xindafang’s research project, “Key Technologies and Industrialization of Green Intelligent Bridge-Erecting Machines for Fully Prefabricated, Prefabricated-Assembly Bridges,” was awarded the Grand Prize.

With the rapid expansion of urban three-dimensional transportation systems, large-scale highway bridges, and critical bridge replacement projects—all vital public works—in China, a substantial number of bridge construction projects are urgently in need of commencement. At the same time, national standards for bridge erection have been raised to demand minimal environmental and traffic impacts, high construction efficiency, and robust safety performance. To ensure the smooth implementation of major public-interest and strategic projects such as high-speed railway and highway bridges in China, and to address the limitations of conventional bridge-construction methods, the development of green, intelligent bridge-erection equipment has become an urgent priority.

As a leading domestic manufacturer of bridge construction equipment, Xindafang has undertaken Zhengzhou’s major science and technology project, “Complete Sets of Green Construction Equipment, Management Systems, and Industrialization for Prefabricated Bridges Based on 5G.” The project team has integrated advanced technologies—including rapid 3D design, mechatronic–hydraulic integration, and multiple structural optimization analysis methods—to develop the “Fully Prefabricated, Green Intelligent Bridge-Erecting Machine with Integrated Girder-and-Pier Erection,” which has since been successfully commercialized. This integrated machine overcomes the functional limitations of conventional bridge erectors, which are unable to erect precast piers and cap beams, by incorporating intelligent control systems. It not only performs all the functions of a standard bridge erector but also enables the erection of precast piers and cap beams, thereby achieving high productivity, intensive resource utilization, and green, safe, convenient, and efficient construction for urban expressways. This innovation has ushered in a new era in the erection of fully prefabricated, assembled bridges in China.

To date, the green intelligent bridge-erection machine has been successfully deployed in projects such as the Shenzhen–Shantou–Xiamen Expressway reconstruction and expansion project, the Guangzhou Metro, the approach spans of the Wuhu Yangtze River Second Bridge, the Jiaozhou Bay Cross-Sea Railway Bridge, the Zhoushan Cross-Sea Bridge, Qingdao Silicon Valley, and the southern extension of Zhengzhou Metro Line 2. Field applications have demonstrated that the equipment delivers excellent bridge-erection performance, meeting stringent requirements for safe, efficient, environmentally friendly construction and making a significant contribution to the high-quality development of Beautiful China.
