The design scheme for the 60-meter-span mobile formwork system for Section A2 of the Third Eastern Passage in Xiamen, Xin Dafang, has successfully passed review.
The Third Eastern Passage in Xiamen is an important component of the expressway connecting lines in the National Highway Network Plan. Its completion will not only enhance Xiamen’s urban transportation network but also further stimulate regional economic development, thereby promoting “ Building a Transportation Powerhouse ”、 “ Belt and Road ” The construction of new national logistics corridors is of great significance. The project’s entire cross-sea bridge spans a length of 15.4 kilometers, of which A2 The marked part is 4.14 kilometers; this section connects the main line of China Unicom with the Xiang’an branch line. “ Key ”— The section where the Oucuo interchange is located.
Xin Dafang will provide for this lot. 4 Taiwan DXZ60/3500 The downward-moving traveling formwork bridge erector (hereinafter referred to as the “traveling formwork”) was employed for this contract section, which presented extremely complex working conditions and posed significant challenges to construction equipment. To address these challenges, Xindafang established a dedicated project task force for the Xiamen project, leveraging multiple technical approaches to optimize the design. As a result, it successfully overcame a series of high-risk, high-difficulty technical hurdles, including offshore operations, varying girder deck widths, large and variable pier spans, small horizontal and vertical curve radii, substantial self-weight of box girders, difficulties in formwork assembly, formwork opening, and span crossing. Ultimately, a traveling formwork system fully tailored to the specific site conditions was developed.

6 month 21 On [date], upholding the principles of continuous improvement and a strong sense of responsibility toward the project, Xindafang convened a meeting on the “Xiamen Third Eastern Passage” A2 Section 60m Expert Review Meeting on the “Cross-Mobility Formwork Design Scheme,” with special invitation to 20 More than a dozen industry experts reviewed and optimized the design proposal.
The review meeting convened an expert panel comprising Professor-level Senior Engineers Fu Jinhai from China Railway Tenth Bureau Group Co., Ltd., Liu Jiawu from Shijiazhuang Tiedao University, Wang Huaihai from China Railway Fourth Bureau Group Co., Ltd., Le Feng from China Railway Seventeenth Bureau Group Co., Ltd., and Yan Haopeng, a Senior Engineer from CCCC Second Navigation Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. In addition, industry peers from CCCC First Public Works Bureau Group Co., Ltd., CCCC First Navigation Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd., CCCC Highway Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., CCCC Tianjin Port Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd., and CCCC Tianjin Port Engineering Design Institute Co., Ltd. were invited to attend the meeting.
Chen Hao, Vice Chairman of the Company, Shen Yi, Executive General Manager, Chen Deli, Chief Engineer of the National Enterprise Technology Center, Zhao Fangxing, Deputy Chief Engineer, Dai Yu, General Manager of the Lifting Business Unit, and members of the project team all attended the review meeting.
The review meeting was chaired by Chen Hao, who also jointly elected Professor-level Senior Engineer Fu Jinhai as the head of the expert review panel.

Chen Hao, on behalf of Xindafang, extended a warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude to all the experts and industry colleagues who have traveled from afar, and expressed his hope that the attendees would freely share their insights and offer generous guidance, providing as many valuable suggestions as possible. He stated that Xindafang and Xiamen enjoy deep historical ties. As early as 1999 In [year], Xindafang provided [something] for the Xiamen Haicang Bridge. 40m、1000t a mobile formwork system—this is China’s first domestically developed mobile formwork system; 2007 Over the years, we have provided segmental erection launching girders for the Jimei Bridge in Xiamen and supplied equipment and technical services for the construction of the Fuzhou–Xiamen and Xiamen–Shenzhen high-speed railways. This time, our renewed provision of a mobile formwork system for the Xiamen Third Passage is a testament to the recognition accorded to the Xin Dafang brand and to the excellence of its technology by all sectors of society and industry peers. Xin Dafang will live up to these expectations by going all out to deliver a highly satisfactory outcome for this project.
Cao Changxing, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Lifting Division, then delivered a detailed briefing on the technical proposal, covering the project overview and construction challenges, a comprehensive review of the technical solution, technical parameters and key features, an introduction to the main components and their functions, as well as assembly, construction, and dismantling procedures.

After hearing the presentation of the design proposal, the attending experts conducted a detailed review of the design documentation and raised questions regarding the innovative and critical aspects of the design. Following a series of deliberations, the experts unanimously concluded that the overall formwork support system design is reasonable, with strength, stiffness, and stability meeting the relevant code requirements; the equipment functions adequately satisfy the operational requirements under all field conditions; the system exhibits excellent operability; and the overall scheme is technically feasible. Accordingly, they agreed to approve the review.
DXZ60/3500 The successful development of the downward-moving traveling formwork bridge erector will mark a major technological breakthrough while also meeting the requirement for the largest span. 60m , the minimum radius of a horizontal curve is 320m , Maximum Weight of Cast-in-Place Box Girder 3500t The operating conditions will also set new records, providing valuable experience and reference for bridge erection using mobile formwork systems in China.
