Strengthening the Safety Production Line | Xindafang Thoroughly Implements the 2024 “Safety Production Month” Campaign
On the morning of June 4, coinciding with the 23rd National Safety Production Month, Xindafang organized a mobilization conference themed “Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies—Keeping Lifelines Unobstructed.” The event aims to implement a comprehensive array of safety initiatives—ranging from public awareness campaigns and training exercises to inspections and oversight—so as to deliver impactful, distinctive, and effective safety activities that firmly uphold the bottom line of workplace safety and build a robust safety defense.
At the conference, Tao Yunfeng, Director of Production, delivered a keynote address. He emphasized: “The Safety Production Month campaign is not merely about generating publicity; more importantly, it aims to foster a culture of safety through diverse educational and awareness-raising initiatives, ensuring that everyone remains vigilant at all times and that the ‘alarm bell’ of safety never ceases to ring. To achieve safe production, we must take the following three essential steps: first, enhance safety awareness; second, cultivate a strong safety culture; and third, rigorously implement safety inspections.”
To ensure that everyone has a clear understanding of the fundamental concepts of safety awareness and can effectively implement safe production practices, Tao Yunfeng further elucidated the essence of safety awareness through the example of “safely running a red light.” In this scenario, the individual who ran the red light had observed and assessed the situation, and only proceeded when they were certain it was safe—demonstrating both risk awareness and preventive awareness. However, running a red light is, after all, an illegal and unlawful act that shows a lack of responsibility for one’s own safety as well as the safety of others; therefore, it also reflects weak compliance awareness and a weak sense of responsibility. In light of this, Tao Yunfeng emphasized the need to cultivate safety awareness and to enhance risk awareness, preventive awareness, compliance awareness, and a strong sense of responsibility. In daily work and life, we must be adept at identifying potential hazards and promptly addressing them, thereby fostering an atmosphere in which “everyone talks about safety and everyone prioritizes safety,” so as to nip problems in the bud and keep the warning bell ringing continuously.
To clarify responsibilities for work safety and achieve all-staff, full-process, and comprehensive safety management, the meeting featured the signing of “Safety Goal Responsibility Agreements” at every level, followed by a solemn oath. This ensures that everyone understands their role in safety management, truly putting the principle “Work safety starts with me; I am the one who safeguards it!” into practice.
Going forward, Xindafang will, in line with the Safety Production Month theme of “Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies—Keeping Lifelines Unobstructed,” continue to carry out publicity, education, and training initiatives, as well as emergency response drills, to further promote the widespread dissemination of laws, regulations, and safety knowledge related to workplace safety, enhance safety awareness across the board, strengthen a sense of responsibility for safety, and reinforce safety skills. At the same time, the company will fully implement the dual-prevention system comprising risk-based tiered control and hazard identification and remediation, along with the safety standardization system, focusing on ensuring that job responsibilities are fulfilled, addressing safety weaknesses, managing major risks, and rectifying significant hazards. The company will also organize self-inspections and self-corrections to resolutely prevent all types of production safety accidents, thereby providing robust safeguards for the company’s production and operations.
