At 10:58, the entire Jizheng High-Speed Railway was opened to traffic!

Mountains and Rivers Join Hands, Henan and Shandong Meet

At 10:58 a.m. on December 8, the Fuxing smart EMU train G4830 slowly departed from Zhengzhou East Station bound for Jinan. As the inaugural train on the entire Zhengzhou–Jinan High-Speed Railway, it is scheduled to arrive at Liaocheng West Station in Shandong at 12:12 p.m., at Chiping Station at 12:27 p.m., and in Jinan at 12:58 p.m.

At the same time, at Jinan Changqing Station, the Fuxing high-speed train G4821—the first train to depart from Jinan on the entire Jizheng High-Speed Railway—left the station and arrived at Zhengzhou East Station in just 1 hour and 39 minutes.

With the departure of trains G4830 and G4821 from Zhengzhou and Jinan, the Jizheng High-Speed Railway has finally connected these two “trillion-yuan cities” after more than seven years of construction. On that day, reporters from the Zhengzhou Daily and the Jinan Daily boarded the inaugural trains at Zhengzhou East Station and Jinan Changqing Station, respectively, to jointly witness this historic moment of the full-line opening of the Jizheng HSR. At that time, media outlets in both cities will also collaborate on joint reporting and content co-production, working together to tell the compelling story of the Jizheng HSR’s development.

The Jinan–Zhengzhou High-Speed Railway originates at Jinan West Station, passing through the cities of Jinan and Liaocheng in Shandong Province and Puyang, Anyang, Xinxiang, and Zhengzhou in Henan Province, before connecting to Zhengzhou East Station. The line has a total length of 407 kilometers and is designed for speeds of 350 kilometers per hour; the Puyang–Zhengzhou section was opened to traffic in June 2022. The newly opened Jinan–Puyang section of the railway spans 208 kilometers and includes seven stations: Jinan West, Changqing, Chiping South, Liaocheng West, Xin County, Nanle, and Puyang East. Among these, Jinan West Station and Puyang East Station are existing facilities, while the remaining stations are newly constructed.
