Pouring Successful! The New Dafang DSZ40/650 Trench-Forming Machine Has Been Successfully Put into Operation at the Songjiazui Aqueduct Project
On May 15, 2023, the early summer landscape of the Jingchu region was awash with azure skies and verdant earth, brimming with vitality. At the construction site of the Songjiazui Aqueduct Project in the Dongfeng Canal Irrigation District of Yichang City, our company’s installation team, through tireless efforts, successfully completed the pressure testing of the DSZ40/650 trench-forming machine, as well as the assembly and commissioning of its support frame and internal formwork, thereby bringing the equipment to full readiness for concrete placement and ensuring its smooth handover to the contractor. On the same day, the contractor smoothly carried out the first pour of prestressed aqueduct segment concrete, officially marking the commencement of the prestressed segment construction phase and laying a solid foundation for the project’s timely completion.
The Songjiazui Aqueduct spans approximately 1.1 km and primarily employs prestressed trough sections and cast-in-place reinforced concrete simply supported trough sections. Specifically, there are 26 spans of 40-metre-long prestressed trough sections. The aqueduct utilizes large-span, small-section, prestressed thin-walled U-shaped troughs, which were constructed using the DSZ40/650 trough-forming machine designed and manufactured by Xin Dafang.
On March 24, 2023, equipment began to be delivered to the site. Following the equipment installation plan, the on-site installation team meticulously organized and carefully coordinated all activities, dedicating full effort to the installation process. By April 17, the installation of the main structural components of the equipment was successfully completed. Subsequently, with close cooperation from the construction contractor, the preloading test for the trenching machine, as well as the installation and commissioning of the finishing frame and the inner liner, were smoothly carried out by May 15. The project was delivered on time, meeting both quality and quantity requirements, and is now ready for concrete placement.
