Good news keeps pouring in, and abundant achievements are writing a new chapter.

With the successful conclusion of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the nationwide campaign to study and implement the spirit of the Congress, the Dengguan section of the Ziyi High-Speed Railway and the Yugan West section of the Changjinghuang High-Speed Railway have both reported triumphant news: the girder-erection work has been completed on schedule, once again delivering two high-quality contributions to the vision of a Beautiful China through “precision manufacturing and relentless pursuit of excellence.”

Project 1: The Dengguan Section of the Chengdu–Zigong–Yibin High-Speed Railway Successfully Completes the Erection of 569 Box Girders

The Chengdu–Zigong–Yibin High-Speed Railway is a high-speed rail line within Sichuan Province that connects Chengdu, Zigong, and Yibin. It forms an important part of the Beijing–Kunming Corridor, one of the “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” main high-speed rail corridors, and the Dengguan Project is located along this route.

The Dengguan Project features a maximum girder-erection gradient of 14‰ and a minimum curve radius of 5,500 meters. On-site construction entails not only the first erection of continuous girders across the turnout at the launching gantry but also the crossing of a 500-kV high-voltage power line during girder installation. In addition, two-box-girder spans must be erected inside a tunnel, with the girder-transport corridor including a 1.2-km-long gas-prone tunnel, presenting considerable challenges.

Xin Dafang currently deploys the DYJ900 integrated girder-erection and transport machine and the DLT900 girder transporter on this project. The DYJ900 900-ton integrated girder-erection and transport machine is a specialized piece of equipment independently developed by Xin Dafang, combining lifting, transportation, and erection functions in one. It is capable of erecting full-span box girders for both double-track high-speed railways and intercity railways. Featuring a beam-free undercarriage design, it boasts a light self-weight, simple operating procedures, and versatile adaptability to spans of 32 m, 24 m, 20 m, as well as non-standard girders with spans ranging from 20 m to 32 m.

At the site, the Xindafang DYJ900 integrated girder transporter fully demonstrated its adaptability to demanding working conditions, as well as its cutting-edge technology and robust equipment stability. With high operational efficiency and versatile functions such as diagonal travel, lateral movement, and slewing, it facilitates easy turnaround within the girder yard—particularly in bridge–tunnel connection scenarios. Notably, for operations involving internal girder placement and bidirectional erection, the turnaround time is remarkably short, at just two hours, underscoring the machine’s outstanding performance. Moreover, it successfully withstood the extreme heatwave that hit Sichuan in August this year. Under scorching sunlight, the temperature of the girder launcher’s structural components soared to 60–70 degrees Celsius. To address this challenge, the project team implemented measures such as “daytime transport, nighttime erection,” “cross-operation scheduling,” and shift rotations, staggering work hours to reduce continuous exposure for operators and thereby ensuring both operational safety and construction progress. By the end of October, the installation of 569 box girders was completed on schedule, laying a solid foundation for subsequent project phases.

Project 2: The Changjinghuang High-Speed Railway Yugan West Project Successfully Completes the Erection of 349 Box Girders

The Changjinghuang High-Speed Railway (Nanchang–Jingdezhen–Huangshan) is an important component of the Hangchang High-Speed Railway (Hangzhou–Nanchang), and together with the Hanghuang High-Speed Railway, it forms the complete Hangchang High-Speed Railway.

At the end of October, at the construction site of the Yugan West section of the newly built Changjiang–Jingdezhen–Huangshan Railway in Jiangxi Province, equipment including the Xinda Fang DF900D girder-launching gantry, the DLT900 tire-mounted girder transporter, the MG450 rail-mounted girder lifter, and the DCY900 girder transporter was engaged in intensive yet well-organized final-stage work.

The Yugan West project features a maximum girder-laying gradient of 10‰ and a minimum curve radius of 8,000 meters. After completion of girder erection in the Nanchang end direction, the equipment must not only be transported across the bridge and repositioned for erection in the Huangshan end direction, but also pass under a 500-kW high-voltage power line, traverse a 500-meter-long embankment section, and negotiate four frame-structure spans with relatively high risk factors. This equipment is highly mature, delivering high operational efficiency and exceptional stability on site, making it a leading solution among its peers and fully meeting the demands of the construction project.

In particular, the erection of box girders in the Huangshan–Duan section had to be modified from the original design due to certain geological conditions, with the box girder installation now being carried out by having the four-section frame structure “creep” its way through. This approach is highly unusual in past construction projects and posed a significant challenge for the Xinfada construction team. To overcome this technical hurdle, the project team developed a specialized construction plan for the creeping frame structure, conducted on-site equipment modifications, and formulated a practical and feasible construction schedule. As a result, they successfully completed the tasks of moving, lifting, transporting, and erecting 349 box girder segments by the end of October.

Each project is a major showcase and a rigorous training exercise. To deliver a high-quality, exemplary project, the Xindafang project team aligns its operations with actual site conditions, meticulously plans production and construction schedules, ensures that all personnel are properly trained and certified before commencing work, and conducts thorough pre-shift briefings and safety communications. During execution, the team strictly adheres to the construction plan and technical specifications, rigorously follows industry standards, and absolutely prohibits any non-compliant practices. Following completion of each task, comprehensive quality reviews are conducted to ensure that the highest standards of quality are achieved. Driven by a strong sense of responsibility and mission, the team delivers all erection tasks to the highest standards, demonstrating Xindafang’s commitment to “excellence in quality and first-class service” through tangible results.

The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has charted the course for the future innovation and high-quality development of private enterprises. As a leading domestic manufacturer of specialized construction equipment, Xindafang will thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress, remain steadfast in our confidence, and regard the development of “major national strategic equipment” as our mission. We will focus on addressing the bottlenecks and pain points—those “chokehold” challenges—in the demand for critical engineering and technological equipment, striving for new breakthroughs through concrete action and vigorous effort, so as to make even greater contributions to elevating “Made in China” to new heights.
