Tehran Municipal Projects in Iran

An urban elevated highway bridge in Tehran, Iran, with construction taking place in a bustling downtown area.

Project characteristics: The bridge structure consists of twin continuous girders, with a maximum single-span length of 50 meters and a total girder weight of 1,000 tons per span. The girders are segmental box girders, with individual girder segments weighing up to 80 tons. The maximum longitudinal grade is 6%, and the minimum curve radius is 380 meters. Construction is carried out using a segment-by-segment erection method, with simultaneous girder launching on both the left and right spans, high-level prestressing, and low-level girder placement. High standards are required for traffic safety and measures to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow.
