Xin Dafang’s newly designed and manufactured largest girder-erection machine successfully completes the first lift for the Sanmen Bay Bridge.

Xindafang News: On the afternoon of June 2, two 650-ton girder-erection cranes designed and manufactured by Xindafang were used at the precast girder yard for Section TJ8 of the Sanmen Bay Bridge and Connecting Roads Project to steadily lift a 40-meter-long, more than 1,200-ton box girder. This milestone marks the successful completion of the cranes’ first lifting operation.

These two 650-ton girder erectors were designed and manufactured by Zhengzhou Xindafang, featuring multiple innovations. Notably, the rigid-plus-semi-rigid outrigger design and the automatic steering and self-centering technology for the gantry trolley are both national patents owned by Xindafang. In addition to these two girder erectors, Xindafang has also provided other equipment, such as a 650-ton girder lifter and a 60-ton gantry crane, to support the construction of the Sanmen Bay Bridge.

This first lifting operation constitutes a formal inspection of the two 650-ton girder-erection cranes and their track systems, marking another milestone in the Sanmen Bay Bridge and its approach-road project. It signifies the official commencement of the superstructure construction for the approach spans of the Liyang Port Bridge and the Qingshan Port Bridge, thereby laying a solid foundation for the timely completion of the Sanmen Bay Bridge.
