The fourth-generation QLY1560 wind turbine crane has successfully rolled off the production line.

Xindafang News: On June 21 of this year, our company’s independently developed QLY1560 fourth-generation wind-turbine crane successfully completed a lifting test at 1.25 times its rated capacity, marking the successful completion of the series of load-handling tests. Combined with the earlier successful completion of tests covering travel, vehicle-tilt lowering, tower and boom extension/retraction, hydraulic automatic pin insertion, and boom self-erection, this milestone signifies that the model has now been fully commissioned and has successfully rolled off the production line!

As a clean energy source, wind power is leading the growth of China’s green energy sector and playing a crucial role in energy conservation and emissions reduction. According to the National Energy Administration’s “12th Five-Year Plan for Wind Power Development,” grid-connected wind capacity is expected to reach 100 gigawatts by 2015. Furthermore, the National Development and Reform Commission’s “China Wind Power Development Roadmap to 2050” projects that by 2050, installed capacity will soar to 1 billion kilowatts, sufficient to meet 17% of the nation’s electricity demand. The outlook for the wind power market is highly promising.

In terms of the domestic wind power development landscape, wind turbines with a capacity of 2 MW and above will be the mainstream in the coming years. Moreover, with the increasing prevalence of hilly and mountainous terrain, large crawler cranes are ill-suited to such site conditions, while large all-terrain cranes are prohibitively expensive and available in limited quantities on the market.

The QLY9096A third-generation wind-turbine crane has demonstrated outstanding performance at hilly and mountainous wind farms in Sanmenxia, Huajialing in Gansu Province, and Datong in Shanxi Province, thanks to its flexible repositioning capabilities, exceptional gradeability, minimal road requirements, and compact working platform. As a result, it has earned widespread recognition and approval from project owners, construction contractors, and supervisory agencies.

Based on a deeper understanding of the wind-power market and the operational challenges encountered with existing crane models at construction sites, the company decided to develop a new generation of wind-turbine cranes, resulting in the QLY1560 model. Key innovations of this model include: a fold-down superstructure that lowers the vehicle’s center of gravity to accommodate steep-grade roads, thereby reducing infrastructure investment and environmental impact; a three-stage telescopic boom design that enables self-erection of the boom, minimizing the need for auxiliary crane positioning and better adapting to limited on-site working platforms; and hydraulic automatic pin-locking connections between boom sections, which reduces high-altitude work, enhances overall operability, stability, and safety reliability, and more closely aligns with market demands. More than ten patents have been filed for this model.

Based on the aforementioned features, the QLY1560 wheeled crane not only demonstrates clear advantages in wind-power construction under hilly and mountainous terrain conditions, but is also well suited for inspection, maintenance, and lifting operations across industries such as oil and petrochemicals, metallurgy and power, chemical and energy, port and terminal operations, construction engineering, and municipal engineering, thereby boasting broad market prospects.

We are confident that the launch of our QLY1560 model will create a significant buzz in the industry, injecting new vitality into the company’s stable growth amid the current sluggish market conditions.
