Xindafang Conducts 2017 Fire Drill
To implement fire safety responsibilities, enhance employees’ understanding of fire safety knowledge, improve their ability to respond to sudden fires and handle emergency fire situations, and ensure they learn the correct methods for using fire extinguishers and escaping in case of a fire, Xindafang conducts an annual fire drill. This year’s drill was held on the morning of November 4 at the Xindafang Industrial Park, with full participation from all staff. For this drill, Captain Wang from the Mazhai Fire Station was invited to provide guidance. The exercise focused on safe evacuation in the event of a sudden fire (including a疏散演练), instruction on fire safety principles, and proper use of fire-fighting equipment. Captain Wang covered three main areas: basic fire knowledge—including fire characteristics and classification—types and operating procedures for fire-fighting equipment, and emergency response measures after a fire. Drawing on recent fire incidents in Zhengzhou and the company’s current fire safety situation, he provided a detailed explanation of common fire-related knowledge, such as analyzing the causes of fires, early fire suppression and rescue, and effective evacuation and escape techniques. He emphasized key points like, “When a fire breaks out, aim the extinguisher at the base of the flames,” and “During firefighting, prioritize personal protection: never stand upwind, remain calm, and avoid panic.” His explanations were both thorough yet easy to understand, enabling employees to quickly grasp the fundamental skills needed for fire safety within a relatively short training session. At the drill site, Captain Wang also demonstrated the correct use of fire extinguishers, providing hands-on examples that helped participants rapidly master the basic techniques for extinguishing fires. Employees were highly enthusiastic and eager to try, actively participating in the drill and even taking on the role of “firefighters” themselves, gaining firsthand experience in what it means to be a firefighter.

The 2017 Employee Sports Meet of Xindafang Concludes Successfully
Xindafang News, October 28: After days of overcast skies, the weather suddenly cleared, revealing bright sunshine and crisp autumn air. Seizing this perfect moment, the annual Xindafang Employees’ Sports Meet kicked off once again. The cafeteria, basketball court, staff activity center, and main thoroughfares throughout the factory grounds were packed with participants, as cheers, shouts, and waves of support rose and fell in a vibrant, energetic chorus that brought the event to life. A total of 316 employees took part in this year’s meet, which featured 11 competitive events. Team events included tug-of-war, basketball, double-deck bridge, five-person relay, and a 400-meter relay—each designed to thoroughly test teamwork and coordination. Individual events comprised jump rope, Chinese chess, tire-pushing, badminton, table tennis, and billiards. As in previous years, the tug-of-war competition officially sounded the starting gun for the Games. At the tug-of-war venue, cheers and shouts echoed continuously, with every participant giving it their all and fighting tooth and nail for every inch of ground—a truly electrifying atmosphere. Nearly 100 members from the Production and Manufacturing Center formed seven formidable tug-of-war teams, each brimming with spirit and determination. Even before the match began, everyone was already eager and ready, determined to gain the upper hand through sheer momentum. Tug-of-war is the event that best embodies team spirit, and the colleagues from the Metal Processing Workshop know this all too well. They have their own tried-and-true technique: shouting a unified rhythm—“One-two, one-two, one-two…”—and pulling in unison to the beat. The Metal Processing Workshop’s tug-of-war team has been the champion for many years running and successfully defended its title this year as well. Basketball, on the other hand, is all about skill and teamwork—the golden rule for victory! This year’s basketball tournament featured three teams.
