The expert review meeting for the English versions of the national standards “Safety Code for Bridge-Erecting Machines” and “General Technical Requirements for Bridge-Erecting Machines” was successfully held at Xindafang.

In the height of summer in July, Zhengzhou experienced exceptionally hot weather. Under the organization of the National Crane Standardization Technical Committee and with translation undertaken by the Beijing Lifting and Transport Machinery Design Research Institute and Zhengzhou New Dafang Heavy Industry Science And Technology Co., Ltd., the expert review meeting for the English versions of the national standards GB26469-2011 “Safety Code for Bridge Erection Machines” and GB/T26470-2011 “General Technical Requirements for Bridge Erection Machines” was successfully held at New Dafang from July 26 to 28. In accordance with Document No. [2016]3 issued by the National Standardization Administration Committee—“Notice of the National Standardization Administration Committee on Issuing the 2015 Plan for the Translation and Publication of Foreign-Language Versions of National Standards”—and upon the commission of the National Lifting Machinery Standardization Technical Committee, Zhengzhou New Dafang Heavy Industry Science And Technology Co., Ltd. undertook the translation of the aforementioned two standards. To this end, New Dafang assigned its most capable personnel from the Overseas Business Division, conducted extensive research, and strived for utmost accuracy in the translation, ultimately completing the task on schedule. This meeting was dedicated to reviewing the English versions of the two national standards, and was chaired by Ms. Zhao Chunhui, Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the Standardization Committee. After two days of thorough deliberation, the meeting preliminarily finalized the draft English versions of the two national standards.

On the morning of April 25, Yang Huchen, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Zhengzhou Municipal Construction Commission, led a delegation from the Commission’s leadership to visit and provide guidance at the Xindafang Industrial Park. Zhang Zhihua, Chairman of the Company; Chen Hao, Vice Chairman; Shen Yi, General Manager of Xindafang Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd.; Chen Deli, Chief Engineer of the Company, and other company leaders warmly received Secretary Yang and his delegation and accompanied them throughout the inspection. Zhang Zhihua first briefed Secretary Yang and his delegation on the company’s recent business performance, operational results, and future development plans. Secretary Yang commended Xindafang for its many years of achievements in the field of bridge-construction equipment and highly praised the company for having supplied equipment worth more than RMB 7 billion for over 500 key and major projects around the world. He noted that Zhengzhou has been designated as a “National Central City” and is currently experiencing rapid development. As the city’s urban framework expands, existing infrastructure construction can no longer keep pace with the needs of urban growth. Therefore, the development of rail transit and elevated urban road networks has become imperative. Moreover, bridge construction in the new era must be driven by innovative bridge design concepts, cutting-edge bridge-building technologies, and state-of-the-art construction equipment—and this can only be achieved through innovative platforms and highly skilled technical teams. Subsequently, Secretary Yang led the Commission’s leadership team in an in-depth discussion in the conference room on Xindafang’s independently developed advanced technology for urban elevated-road construction: the “Prefabricated Segmental Assembly Construction Method.” This construction method involves breaking down large bridge components into transportable prefabricated modules and employing an innovative bridge-design technique that uses composite modular precast concrete girders, thereby shifting most of the bridge-construction work from the construction site to factory-based industrial production.

On April 14, Wang Baocun, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, a member of the Party Leadership Group, and Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, together with Li Jianzhuang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Executive Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, paid a visit to Xindafang, accompanied by Zhao Xinzong, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Congress, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and Zhang Xinyun, Chairman of the Erqi District Federation of Trade Unions, to conduct an inspection of trade union development in private enterprises. Chairman Zhang Zhihua and Union Chairwoman Huang Ping warmly received the delegation and escorted them on a tour of the Employee Activity Center and the factory premises. During the visit, Huang Ping provided a detailed briefing to the delegation on the company’s trade union development, membership expansion, and the implementation of trade union activities. She stated that, with strong support from higher-level trade unions, the Xindafang Trade Union was officially established in June 2008. Since its establishment, the union has organized a series of initiatives aligned with the company’s production and business operations, including an annual health check-up for all employees to promote their physical and mental well-being; an annual skills competition or on-the-job training exercise to provide a platform for frontline technicians to showcase their expertise and strengthen the company’s technical talent pool; an annual sports meet to highlight employees’ positive, optimistic, and confident spirit while enhancing corporate cohesion and centripetal force; an end-of-year company gala to foster a stronger sense of belonging and collective pride among employees; the establishment of a staff library and an employee activity center equipped with sports facilities, enabling employees to relax and enrich their cultural lives outside working hours; as well as irregular speech contests and employee tours, all of which effectively motivate employees and boost their enthusiasm, thereby providing solid support for the company’s production and business activities.

Xindafang Successfully Holds the 2017 Research Project Signing Ceremony

On March 20, the company successfully organized and held the signing ceremony for its 2017 research projects. The event was attended by General Manager Zhang Zhihua, Li Gang, General Manager of the Lifting and New Energy Business Unit, Sun Cunliang, General Manager of the Transportation Equipment Business Unit, as well as the heads of all the projects that were signed. The projects covered in this round of agreements were independently initiated research initiatives identified through expert review, based on anticipated domestic and international market demands over the next three to five years. These projects are characterized by advanced technological levels, strong innovation capabilities, and robust market competitiveness. Through the formal execution of “Research Project Plan Task Letters” with each business unit, the company has clearly defined the R&D objectives and tasks, development schedules, and performance evaluation metrics for each project team, while also refining the budget allocations for R&D expenditures, thereby further standardizing the organizational and management practices for research projects. During the signing ceremony, Zhang Zhihua emphasized that the company must maintain a forward-looking perspective on future market trends, place great importance on the cutting-edge nature and originality of research projects, ensure that newly developed products are both safe and reliable as well as economically viable, and pay close attention to such details as green environmental protection and industrialized design.

At the end of April, the Erqi District Federation of Trade Unions held an awards ceremony to commemorate International Labor Day on May 1, honoring outstanding individuals and units across the district. Wang Leiming, a riveter-welder in our company’s Structural Workshop, was presented with the Erqi District “May 1 Labor Medal” honorary title.
