Warm congratulations to Xindafang on winning the 2016 “China Good Design” Silver Award!
Xindafang News, December 14: The “High-Level Forum on International Engineering and Technology Development Strategies—Innovative Design Forum and the 2016 China Innovative Design Conference” was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The Henan Provincial Major Science and Technology Special Project “Mountain Wind Power Installation Crane,” undertaken by Xindafang, won the Silver Award of the “China Good Design” competition thanks to its advanced innovative design. The “China Good Design” award is organized by the China Innovation Design Industry Strategic Alliance and judged by a panel of academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, led by Academician Lu Yongxiang, along with experts and scholars from universities and professional associations both at home and abroad, making it the premier, most authoritative design award in China’s innovative design field. The “Mountain Wind Power Installation Crane” that received this award features a novel design concept, seamlessly integrating mountain wind power construction solutions with equipment development. Safety, efficiency, environmental friendliness, and cost-effectiveness were set as the core design objectives. The developed equipment boasts capabilities such as resistance to sudden wind loads, autonomous travel on wet, slippery, and steep slopes, rapid self-erection and dismantling, precise lifting from compact installation positions, and remote control operation. It has successfully accomplished wind turbine installation tasks in mountainous areas—tasks that are difficult or even impossible for 1,200-ton-class mobile cranes—and delivers significantly lower energy consumption. This breakthrough has effectively solved the challenging problem of wind turbine installation in China’s mountainous regions, filling a domestic gap and bringing the technology to an internationally leading level.

Xindafang Successfully Hosts the 2016 Employee Fun Sports Meet
Xindafang News, November 15: After days of overcast skies, the weather suddenly cleared up, providing the perfect opportunity for the annual Xindafang Fun Sports Meet to kick off once again. The cafeteria, basketball court, staff activity center, and main thoroughfares throughout the factory grounds were packed with participants, as cheers, shouts, and waves of encouragement echoed continuously, brimming with passion and energy and creating an exceptionally lively atmosphere. This year’s event saw a total of 297 entries across 11 different events, including team events such as tug-of-war, basketball, double-deck bridge, and five-person relay—each designed to thoroughly test teams’ coordination and collaboration—and individual events like jump rope, shuttlecock kicking, checkers, Chinese chess, tire pushing, badminton, and table tennis. As in previous years, the tug-of-war competition officially sounded the starting gun for the Games. Nearly 100 participants from the Production and Manufacturing Center were divided into seven teams, all exuding an air of high spirits and readiness; even before the match began, each team was already eager to outdo the others in sheer determination and momentum. Tug-of-war is one of the events that best embodies team spirit: only when everyone pulls in the same direction and pools their efforts can victory be achieved. At the venue, cheers rang out one after another, with every participant giving it their all and fighting tooth and nail for every inch of ground. In the end, the brothers from the Metal Structures Workshop emerged as champions in the men’s tug-of-war category. Amidst the tug-of-war action, one team stood out in particular. Though noticeably smaller in stature and clearly at a disadvantage compared with the frontline production teams, they remained fiercely determined, full of vigor and unafraid of any challenge. They were the tug-of-war squad from the Quality and Operations Control Management Department. Although they ultimately did not place, their performance exemplified the spirit of Xindafang.

Xindafang News, September: The green construction methodology for hoisting wind turbine units in mountainous terrain—officially titled “Green Construction Method for Hoisting Wind Turbines in Mountainous Areas with Steep Slopes, Narrow Roadways, Small Foundation Spots, and Close Proximity to Tower Structures”—developed through collaboration between Xindafang and Tianjin Lanchao Specialized Lifting Engineering Co., Ltd., has been awarded the Henan Provincial Construction Engineering Association’s designation as a provincial-level construction method for engineering projects in Henan Province. This methodology employs QLY-series cranes specially designed for wind power applications. The entire crane can self-propel and relocate on steep slopes (30% gradient) and narrow roadways (5 meters wide), rapidly self-dismantle at small foundation sites (30 m × 30 m), and perform close-proximity lifting operations adjacent to wind towers (12–16 meters high). The method requires minimal land use, reduces earthwork volumes, and places low demands on environmental protection, water conservation, and vegetation restoration. By fully leveraging the lifting capacity of the main crane, it achieves green wind power development and green construction practices. This construction process realizes modular assembly of major equipment, shortening assembly time, boosting work efficiency, and reducing labor costs; moreover, it eliminates high-altitude operations, thereby enhancing safety. To date, the company has successfully applied this construction methodology in numerous projects, including the Fengquan Mountain Wind Farm in Qixian County, Hebi City, Henan Province; the Guiding–Majiang Wind Farm in Guizhou Province; the Guangtoushan Wind Farm in Dawu County, Hubei Province; the Qianpen Mountain Wind Farm in Changming, Guiyang; and the Shujia Mountain Wind Farm in Dawu County, Hubei Province, yielding significant economic, social, and environmental benefits. The smooth completion of multiple wind farms further demonstrates the superiority of this methodology over traditional construction approaches, with its overall technical level now reaching internationally advanced standards.
