Xindafang News: Recently, following an expert panel review organized by the Zhengzhou Science and Technology Bureau, the “QLY1560 Wheeled Crane” project was awarded the Special Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of Zhengzhou City for 2015. This project represents the world’s first tire-mounted crane featuring a tower-style truss telescopic boom and self-erecting capability. It has successfully overcome more than ten technical challenges, including automatic coordination of multi-axle all-wheel drive and braking during high-grade slope driving; rapid self-dismantling and reassembly in confined spaces, as well as quick relocation of the entire machine; safe construction under wind speeds of up to Grade 7; and precise positioning of the tower section using a multi-degree-of-freedom four-bar linkage system. The project also introduces several innovative technological features, such as integrating the chassis with the outriggers into a single unit and enabling multi-mode travel; a four-bar linkage mechanism for lowering the tower; a multi-stage truss telescopic structure; a dual-luffing boom self-erection system; and a telescopic web member pinning mechanism. These innovations bring the technology to the leading international level in land-based wind turbine lifting equipment.

The QLY1560 wheeled crane has been successfully shipped to the Chenzhou wind farm.
According to Xindafang News, the QLY1560 wheeled crane, destined for the Chenzhou wind farm, was successfully assembled at the factory the day before yesterday and underwent a successful hill-climbing test, officially entering the shipment phase. The QLY1560 is a new-generation wind-turbine crane characterized by a high degree of automation and exceptional operational versatility, with a maximum lifting capacity of 100 tonnes and a maximum lifting height of 100 metres. The entire hoisting and relocation process is simple to operate, safe, and highly reliable. This product combines the mobility of a truck-mounted crane with the lifting capabilities of a crawler crane, while also boasting the stability and wind-resistance of a tower crane. The QLY1560 adopts innovative construction methods for wind-power projects, truly realizing “green wind power and green construction,” thereby spearheading a transformation in mountainous wind-farm construction and minimizing the environmental impact of wind-energy development. It is particularly well suited to mountainous wind-farm sites with narrow roads, steep slopes, limited working platforms, and harsh natural conditions, and has been recognized by the industry as the only environmentally friendly crane suitable for installing 2 MW wind turbines in such challenging terrain.

Xindafang News, November 24: The 1,800-ton bridge-erection machine and girder transporter independently developed by Xindafang have successfully completed pre-delivery heavy-load tests at the 20,000-square-meter test yard of the Xindafang Industrial Park in Zhengzhou. This equipment package is scheduled to be shipped by year-end to the construction site of Kuwait’s Fourth Cross-Sea Bridge—the world’s fourth such project—and will be put into operation in March next year. The construction environment for the Kuwait Cross-Sea Bridge is highly complex, characterized by a hot, arid desert climate and challenging conditions such as multiple spans, tight curve radii, and offshore operations. The project design adopts a prefabrication-and-erection approach, making it one of the most technically demanding landmark projects in the industry. With a total length of 36.14 kilometers, approximately 22.3 kilometers of the bridge will be constructed using this equipment package. The bridge is designed with 60-meter spans and individual box girders weighing 1,800 tons each—making these the heaviest precast box girders ever erected using bridge-erection machines and girder transporters worldwide. The successful development of this equipment underscores the strong international competitiveness of “Made in Henan” and marks a significant milestone: Xindafang in Zhengzhou has now reached the forefront of global technology and manufacturing capabilities in large-scale bridge-construction equipment. The Kuwait Cross-Sea Bridge project is a highway bridge contract awarded to Hyundai Engineering & Construction of South Korea, a Fortune Global 500 company. In the 2013 equipment procurement tender conducted by Hyundai, Xindafang—long-standing and trusted partner of Hyundai—emerged victorious by securing the top overall score in the technical evaluation, thereby defeating leading European and American firms. Xindafang will supply a complete set of equipment for the Kuwait Gulf Bridge project, including one 1,800-ton bridge-erection machine and two 1,800-ton girder transporters.
